Speaking at the policy launch in Auki today, Wale said April 17 is about voters making a choice for change.
He said it is a choice between business as usual and change.
The former Opposition Leader said it is a choice between insensitive government and caring government.
“A choice between a deaf government and a government that listens to your cries and sees your hardships,” he told Malaitans during the launch.
Wale said this election is a choice between a numb government and one that shares the pain and struggles of Solomon Islanders.
He said a choice between the lack of accountability and accountability.
“A choice between a government that serves only a few, and a
government that will care for all Solomon Islanders. What will your choice be?” the former Opposition Leader said.
Wale said for far too long, foreign interests have owned the Solomon Islands government.

He said the one who receives the funding from these foreign interests is always the one who becomes the Prime Minister.
“Because our MPs forget about national interest when they see bundles of cash offered to them. As long as there are Solomon Islands leaders willing to take their money, they will always own and control them,” he said.
The CARE coalition leader said the current status quo of the DCGA will never make the changes necessary to empower Solomon Islanders.

He said sticking to the current status quo will only result in the exploitation of our natural resources to make foreigners rich and
resource owners are poorer.
“They don’t want Solomon Islanders to become rich. They readily sell our birth right for 30 pieces of silver. Just look at the logging industry. Look also at the mining industry,” he said.
Wale said that is what the DCGA caretaker government has done to Solomon Islanders.
The former Opposition Leader said there are 14 seats in Malaita.
“Malaita can lead the crusade for meaningful change. The power is in your hands. Vote CARE and we will begin on this ambitious and exciting journey of change together,” he said.

“ Vote for real change you can trust, vote for CARE, because you care for Malaita, because you care for Solomon Islands, and because we care for you,” he said.
The launch in Auki has attracted thousands from around Malaita.
The Care coalition team will launch in Afio tomorrow Saturday 24 th Feb.
