Wale conveys best wishes to National Football Team

OPPOSITION Leader Hon Matthew Wale has conveyed best wishes to the Solomon Islands National Football team as they prepare for the finals against New Zealand this week.

In a statement today, Hon Wale says all Solomon Islanders should be proud of the coaching staff and our boys for flying our flags high in Doha, Qatar.

“I congratulate our boys for winning the semi-finals and I will be supporting again when we take on New Zealand in the finals,” he said.

Hon Wale said the new generation of young footballers have proved that we can regain our status as the football powerhouse in Oceania.

“I will join every Solomon Islander to cheer you on and we all have no doubt you can make history. Be proud of yourselves as good ambassadors of our beloved country and the youngest team in the competition,” he said.

“Go Solo Go, go out there and make us proud”.
