Verification of three Honiara City’s constituencies and wards’ votes started late this afternoon after the issue of space for countring was resolved.
CEO of SI Electoral Commission Jasper Anisi said the delay was due to venue as all three constituencies have a high number of voters and the Multipurpose was not sufficient.
“We have found that (venue) already and it is the Probets Hall at the St Barnabas Cathedral,” he said.
Anisi confirmed that counting of West Honiara votes will be held there.
He said verification would be done today and it is up to the Returning Officer on when they should stop tonight.
