Premier Sade confident of defeating motion, shows proof of majority support

Premier of Guadalcanal Francis Sade is confident of defeating a motion against is government next week as he vows to spill the bean on the involvement of government MPs’ involvement to oust him during and after the motion.

“I can confidently say that I am going to beat the motion. I have the numbers to defeat the motion. My 11 MPAs, which is the majority remains intact,” he told SBMOnline this afternoon.

He also showed a proof of a STATEMENT OF SOLIDARITY signed by his ministers as a show of their support to his government.

He said despite pressure and lobby from those moving the motion his group remains steadfast and are united to continue governing Guadalcanal after the motion.

Sade said all the points raised by the Leader of Opposition are correct as there are very strong elements in the national government wanting to remove him.

The premier believes that his strong stand against logging and some of the key players in Guadalcanal is the key reason behind the motion.

“I will not say much but I am going to unleash what I want to say during the motion,” he said.

Sade said surely foreigners and some key national politicians are behind the motion but “I am prepared and ready to defeat them.”

The motion is to be moved Thursday next week
