The Government’s NO JAB NO JOB Policy comes into effect tomorrow.
Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare had announced that every employee at the central, provincial levels, employees of government institutions, State Owned Enterprises must get their vaccines at the end of October— failing they would not be allowed into their work places by November 1.
The deadline was extended to November 1 from September 1 as previously announced for public officers to take their jab with those failing to do so will be stood down on half-pay starting on November 1 and will not be allowed into their offices.
Attorney General John Muria Junior in a radio show confirmed this afternoon confirmed that the policy will come into force tomorrow.
He said a circular has already been sent that by Nonmember 1 those that have not been vaccinated will not be allowed to enter their offices/workstations.
Muria confirms that this is the final one.
It is not clear how many public officers have not taken their jabs before the police comes into force.
