Former Minister and MP for South Choiseul Doro Muala passes on

A former Government Minister and MP for South Choiseul Elijah Doro Muala has passed on this week.

A relative confirmed to SBMOnline that Doro Muala died this week after illness.

Speaker of Parliament Patteson Oti conveyed on behalf of the National Parliament condolences to the family of the late former MP.

In his message, Oti of himself, Clerk to Parliament, Mr David Kusilifu, the administration, Heads of departments and staff, said: “We would like to convey our deepest condolences to the families, relatives, political colleagues and friends of the late Elijah Doro Muala (former Hon. MP for South Choiseul Constituency 2012 – 2018).

Doro Muala was elected to the National Parliament of Solomon Islands for South Choiseul Constituency on 4 August 2010. He was re-elected to the National Parliament of Solomon Islands for South Choiseul Constituency on 19 November 2014.

He was the Minister of Commerce Minister for Commerce, Industries, Labour & Immigration from 27 August 2010 to 8th September 2014.

On his Parliamentary Committee Appointments, Doro Muala was a former Chairman of Public Expenditure Committee and a member of Constitutional Review Committee.
