Djokovic, the Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister, was allegedly travelling at high-speed heading in the western direction on Saturday morning when his G-plated vehicle veered off the road and damaged a brick-wall of the Iron Bottom Sound Hotel at Rove.

The motor vehicle sustained damages while Djokonic escaped any injuries.

Director of the National Traffic Department Superintendent Fred Satu says, “The driver of the motor vehicle underwent a Random Breatherlizer Test (RBT) administered by Traffic Officers and confirmed that the presence of alcohol in his blood was below the legal prescribed level.”

“I want to remind all drivers including drivers of Government motor vehicles that careless driving must be stopped. Always take all precautions when using the road otherwise you will only be risking your own life and that of others. Please adhere to the traffic rules and regulations as they are there for your own and others’ safety,” Superintendent Satu emphasises.
