A foreign national has sustained injuries to his neck and head after he allegedly failed to snatch a mobile phone from a colleague crew on a fishing vessel at Point Cruz tonight.
Report reaching SBMonline tonight stays the foreigner was rushed to the National Referral Hospital around 8pm where he was treated and later released.
Our report says the foreigner who is believed to be a Fijian jumped off the fishing vessel after a failed attempt to pinch a mobile from an Asian colleague whilst he was talking on the phone. As a result he sustained injuries to his neck and head.
The victim and the perpetrator are workers for a private fishing company that operates in the country’s fishing waters.
According to the report reaching SBMOnline, the injured foreigner was brought to the hospital by police and St John Ambulance.
