SOLOMON AIRLINES ANNOUNCES FIRST EVER ‘FATHER’S DAY VIP SCENIC FLIGHT’

– 60 minute scenic flight including VIP welcome and gift pack
– Departing Henderson Airport on the airline’s newest Twin Otter

– Flying over islands and the Guadalcanal coastline

Solomon Airlines has announced a very special flight now on sale for this Father’s Day, Sunday 5 September – the airline’s first ever ‘Father’s Day VIP Scenic Flight’.

Departing from Henderson Airport at 9.00am, Solomon Airline’s new Twin Otter H4-SIC will take off for a one-hour scenic tour, flying lucky Fathers and their companions in VIP style high above the Guadalcanal coastline and nearby islands.

All 19 seats on the aircraft, including 10 window seats and 9 rows will be dedicated exclusively to the Father’s Day joy flight. The special flight will depart and return to Honiara with all passengers receiving a VIP welcome on arrival, pre-allocated seating, bottled water and Delite chocolate biscuits to enjoy onboard, and a guided commentary from Solomon Airlines experienced pilots during the flight.

On return to Honiara, each passenger will also receive a special ‘VIP Father’s Day Gift Pack’ with a range of premium goodies included courtesy of partners Soltuna and Cathliro, and a special Flight Certificate to mark the occasion.

“Our team have put a lot of thought into creating this flight as a special experience which will appeal to Fathers and their families and create memories to last a lifetime,” said Colin Sigimanu, Manager Commercial for Solomon Airlines.

“The flight will be operated by our newest Twin Otter H4-SIC, giving passengers the opportunity to experience our latest aircraft and a new perspective whilst flying high over the spectacular Guadalcanal coastline, and nearby islands,” said Colin Sigimanu, Manager Commercial for Solomon Airlines.

“Though the exact final flight path is wholly dependent on weather, with our experienced H4-SIC pilots at the helm, passengers can be assured of magnificent views throughout the journey,” he said.

Solomon Airlines said seats will be sold on a first come, first serve basis with single passenger window seats available for SBD$1695, for those wanting to send Dad up in the air solo for a special treat.

Seat rows can be booked for SBD$2495 total for two passengers including the window seat and adjacent aisle seat, ideal for couples, friends or adults with an accompanying child, who wish to share the occasion.

The airline said passengers will be required to arrive at Henderson Airport 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled 9.00am departure time. As the scenic flight is weather dependent, should poor weather conditions develop an alternate date will be recommended.
