Two nurses are amongst the six people still missing at sea in the Temotu Province after their boat has gone missing on Tuesday.
The six include: three men and three women who were returning to the Reef Islands from Lata after doing banking.
Acting Commissioner of Police Mostyn Mangau said search would continue though the province has continued to experience strong wind and high seas.
He says that his officers in Lata are working with health authorities so as support from a New Zealand air-force aircraft, which is currently carrying out aerial surveillance in the country to carry out the search.
According to Mangau, as of this morning there was still no sighting of the missing boat.
The two nurses are from Manuopo clinic whilst the rest of the missing persons are from Manuopo village.
