SIPRA Launches in Gizo today

The Solomon Islands Party for Rural Advancement (SIPRA) is launching its policy in Gizo, Western Province today, on the 27th of March.

The launch is scheduled to take place at the MSG Building at 11:00 am.

SIPRA, led by former Solomon Islands Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo, is introducing its candidate for the Gizo Kolobangara Constituency. Mr. Ronald Dive, a lawyer by profession, is the candidate.

The Gizo Kolombangara Constituency, with eight candidates vying for the seat, will determine its representative for the next four years.

In a statement, SIPRA announced that the launch is open to the public. Provincial and public servants are also invited to attend. Furthermore, there will be an interactive question and answer session following the launch.

Former Prime Minister and Party President of SIPRA, Gordon Darcy Lilo, will deliver a speech at the event.

He will be followed by Ronald Dive, the SIPRA candidate, who will present his vision to the people of the Gizo/Kolombangara constituency.

The ‘CARE’ Coalition, led by Mathew Wale and Peter Sogoilo of the Solomon Islands Democratic Party (SIDP), had already launched their political campaign.

‘CARE’ coalition is a partnership between the SIDP, led by Matthew Wale, and the Democratic Alliance Party (DAP), led by Rick Houenipwela. Our Party, represented by Jimson Tanangada, has also launched their campaign with caretaker Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare and team.

Meanwhile, the remaining candidates, including Dekon Trevor and Vigulu Wyan running as independents, Bulehite Kenneth running under the People’s Liberal Democratic Party (PLDP), Tito Clement Pita as another independent candidate, and Piasi Samson Maena running under the banner of the People’s Alliance Party, are yet to launch their campaigns. The invitation is open to the public. Provincial and public servants are invited, and there will be a highly interactive Q&A session following the event.
