A police vehicle was successfully pulled out of the BMalasuna River this afternoon after flash-flood caught the driver and other officers whilst washing the vehicle in the river.

Photos shared on social media showed the vehicle was caught with wheels fully tucked under water whilst it was pulled by a tractor.

When contacted tonight the RSIPF Media Unit confirmed that the police vehicle was successfully pulled out of the river and is back on the road again.

A spokesman for the RSIPF Media Unit said officers took the vehicle to the river to wash it but were caught with quick flood making the vehicle unable to move out.

He said because of that they were unable to move and that made difficult by the soft surface of the river making it difficult to drive out. However, he said with the help of a tractor they were able to move the vehicle back on the road.

“The truck is now back on the road,” he said.

Just last week, RSIPF had received more than 30 vehicles from the PRC and Australia.
