Police Response Team of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) have recaptured Frank Firimolea and Dilo Faiga at the main entry junction road to Burns Creek market between 11 and 11:45am this morning on 15 February 2020.
Acting Commissioner Mr Mostyn Magau says, “PRT have recaptured the two prison escapees’ base on intelligence gathering. The two escapees now under police custody awaiting further dealings and will return to Rove Correctional Centre soon.”
Commissioner Mangau says, “PRT have intercepted a RAV4 and identify the two escapees. There were other three people inside the same RAV4 where they were under police care for further questioning.”
He says, “Three prisoners have escaped the Rove Correctional Centre on 15 December 2019 and police have recaptured Willie Olo on the 5 January 2020 at Betikama LDA area.
“I would like to thanked the communities for their support to police to recapture the two escapees and also would like to thanked police officers who involved in the operation to recapture these two escapees,” says Mr Mangau.
