These ill- mannered campaign strategies include using derogatory terms such as “ïdiot”, “conman” “stupid”, “Judas “and “nguzuznguzu” to describe other candidates.

OUR party parliamentary wing leader, Manasseh Sogavare, who is also the care- taker Prime Minister said by now people should know these candidates and the unrealistic policies they are advancing.

He pointed out that certain candidates are camouflaging their true selves, and that these candidates have direct involvement in the November riot of 2021. They may try to deny their involvement but all clear evidences point directly at them. These are the people who are responsible for bringing our economy to its knee by destroying the businesses that pay taxes.

The OUR party parliamentary wing leader added that the instigators often used the diplomatic switch as the basis for the 2021 riot, when in fact the switch was merely used as a smokescreen for their own selfish agenda, which is to gain power.

Care- taker PM Manasseh Sogavare highlighted that the diplomatic switch from Taiwan to China is in accordance and in compliance with the United Nation resolution which was made in 1971 before we gained independence. One China Principle is respected, embraced and honored by 181 countries in the world including our traditional partners like Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Japan and United Stated of America.

Sogavare called on voters to reject these parties and their candidates for advancing this particular policy stance, and adding that Solomon Islands need all development partners- both new and traditional partners.

The OUR party parliamentary wing leader also stated that for the past 45 years development has been sluggish, therefore we need more development partners to help us in our development aspirations.

Manasseh Sogavare further revealed that certain political parties have now changed their stance to say China is here to stay, he added that this change of position only displays their hypocrisy. They have lost all credibility.

Sogavare reiterated the call for voters to be aware of the attitudes of these candidates and their unreasonable and too- good- to- be true policy stances.
