Former Solomon Islands U-17 midfielder Maxwell Keana’s hearing scheduled to take place today (Friday 29 November) in Honiara was postponed by the Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Disciplinary/Ethics Committee as a result of a quorum to hear the player’s testimony.

SIFF legal representative Don Marahare was waiting to proceed with the hearing but at the eleventh hour, the OFC Disciplinary/Ethics Committee communicated the notice to the SIFF Secretariat of the postponed.

Therefore, OFC Disciplinary/Ethics Committee will set a new date for the hearing.

Formal charges have been laid against SIFF and Maxwell Keana by the OFC DC/Ethics Committee after the Committee had received a written complaint supported by information that the player who played for the Solomon Island’s team at the OFC U16 Championship 2018, was born in 1998.

The hearing will be convened by the OFC Disciplinary/Ethics Committee via telephone conference on a new date yet to be confirmed at the SIFF conference room.
