Tactical Commander, at the Police Forward Command Post (PFCP) at Kulitanai, Inspector Kerry Sireheti says, “We merely escorted the high level delegation due to the fact that we are not far from the common border with Papua New Guinea.”

“Security of our people is paramount as they here in the common border region. We must make sure that they are safe.”

“My officers will provide static security for members of the delegation while they are in the Shortlands and as they move around to the various islands within the group. They will visit Korovou, Lofung and Kulitanai. The delegation will also move to Taro to do the same assessment,” says Inspector Siriheti.
