Late Anga’s body to arrive today at 2.30pm from PNG

Govt announces the arrival of the body of the late Solomon Islands HC to Papua New Guinea H.E Mr. Barnabas Anga.

The Government wishes to officially announce that the body of the late High Commissioner of Solomon Islands to Papua New Guinea H.E Mr. Barnabas Anga will arrive in Honiara on Sunday 18^th July 2021 via a chartered Solomon Airlines Flight.

Arrival will be 2:30pm local time.

The late High Commissioner Anga died on Friday 9^th July 2021 in Port Moresby. He served as Solomon Islands High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea since 4^th September 2015. He was one of Solomon Islands senior diplomats and once Dean of the Diplomatic Corps in Papua New Guinea.

Previously he served as Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs and External Trade and Secretary to the Prime Minister.

He held a few other Permanent Secretary positions in previous governments.   

The Late High Commissioner Barnabas Anga will be laid to rest at the Betikama Adventist Cemetery.
