“I have been waiting for this day. Since SPOL approached us that they will be supporting us I was full of joy.

“We have been promised so many times by our employer to improve the facilities and after all those unfulfilled promises we are happy that SPOL is helping us,” she said.

Devi said the donated items would greatly improve their services to the people of Central Honiara.

She pointed to the extension of the front of the clinic as one of the biggest achievements. Devi said previously sick people had to sit in a tent and others for the sun, now they will have a nice place to sit whilst waiting for their turn.

“To me this is a big achievement and I would like to thank SPOL,” she said.

“I am grateful that such a company with would recognize our clinic,” she added.

Devi said after ten years this is the first major development to happen at their clinic.

The clinic, which is owned by the Honiara City Council, has one of the largest catchment areas to serve including Kaibia, Koahill and Papahao, Mbokonavera, Skyland and Vavaya Ridge.
