Tree falls and blocks Kolaridge Road

Traffic up and down the Kolaridge Road is on halt after a tree fell and blocked the road just after 5pm today.

An eyewitness says the tree has basically blocked the road, blocking access to and from Kolaridge from the main road.

The tree fell during the heavy rain after 5pm at the lower Kolaridge just after the St Barnabas workers house and close to the car-wash at the bottom of the hill.

“I just driven past the place and the tree was still blocking the road. It required a chairnsaw or axes to cut and remove the tree from the road,” an eyewitness says.

The Kolaridge Rd is one of the major access to and into Honiara and into central and east Honiara.
