Francis Kiri is CSSI new Deputy Commissioner

The Correctional Service of Solomon Islands (CSSI) now has a new Deputy Commissioner.

He is Francis Kiri.

CSSI Commissioner Gabriel Manelusi formally announced Kiri’s new appointment as promoted Deputy Commissioner Administration (DCA)  during the Commissioner’s weekly parade at Rove Correctional Headquarter in Honiara today (05th February 2020).

Mr. Manelusi announced to all ranks and files that the Police and Prison Service Commission in its12th/2019 meeting held on the 23rd December 2019 has approved the appointment on promotion as Deputy Commissioner Administration Mr Francis Kiri on trial for a period of six months effective 23rd December 2019.

When presenting his promotion, CSSI Commissioner congratulates the officer saying: “Leadership is not about rank or position, but is about responsibility and being a servant.”

“Your coat of arms reminds you that being a leader is to serve your officers under your command with respect and diligence and serving your country with dignity and honour. I look forward to your leadership contributions for the organisation’s future.”

“Welcome to the CSSI Senior Executive Team. Your promotions are well-deserved. I also wish to thank all the other candidates who applied for the positions in what was a very strong and competitive field,” Commissioner Manelusi says in a CSSI media statement issued today.

“Congratulations Mr Francis Kiri. You deserved this promotion. God bless CSSI and Solomon Islands”.
