Solomon Ports is proud to support the rehabilitation of St Martin Church of Kalona Village in South Malaita.

A cheque of SBD$20,000 was handed over the St Martin Church Committee Fr. Ellison Koke yesterday by Solomon Chief Financial Officer Mr. George Rausi.

The St.Martin Church building was destroyed in 2016 by an earthquake, with the cross beams and walls destroyed.

Fr. Ellison thanked Solomon Ports for stepping in with this assistance which he said will help the community a lot.

“I wish to thank all the management and staff of Solomon sports for this generous assistance to our fundraising drive,” he said.

Meanwhile Solomon Ports Chief Financial officer George Rausi said the SOE was happy in giving back to the community.

“As one of the oldest SOE in the country, we have continuously been giving back to the community over the years, especially in the areas of education, health, sports and also churchs,” he said.

“We believe this assistance is for a worthy cause, and we wish the community of Kalona all the best as they continue to rebuild their church.”
