Solomon wins right to host 2025 Miss Pacific Islands Pageant

Solomon Islands has won the right to host the 2025 Miss Pacific Islands Pageant in Honiara.

This was confirmed by Joyce Konoofilia, a pageant director and board member of Miss Pacific Islands Pageant .

She presented the bid on behalf of Solomon Islands today in Nauru, where this year’s pageant is held.

Konofilia confirmed that members who attended today to award the right to Honiaraincluded: Samoa, American Samoa, Tonga, PNG, Palau, Nauru, SI and marshall islandsamoa, American Samoa, Tonga, PNG, Palau, Nauru, Marshall islands and the Solomon Islands.

Solomon Host, which Konofilia owns, is the focal point for Miss Pacific Islands secretariat in Solomon Islands.

She underscored that the country can benefit a lot.

‘In terms of spinoffs for tourism and economic benefits through foreign exchange, shopping for handicrafts cos families will be traveling with their contestants , hotels and food outlets and of course promotion of SI as tourism destination,’ she told SBMOnline.

Konofilia acknowledges tourism and other stakeholders including the Secretary to the Prime Minister and OPMC for their support.

The Miss South Pacific Pageant was established in 1987 by Samoa as a regional event to recognize and promote the attributes, intelligence, and talents of Pacific Island women. It recognizes Pacific Island women, their contributions to regional affairs, and their ability to advance in diverse fields.
