“I am excited about the next level which is the O-League,” he said.

“Being with the boys and crown champions is a big step forward for me as well.

“I was once a football player and coming into coaching as a career now.

“To take the boys into the O-League is a big achievement for me and the boys”.

As the Solomon Islands winners, Warriors will be traveling to New Caledonia for the Group C of the 2020 OFC Champions League group stage.

“I think for us it’s a good group looking at the teams that we are going to compete with. I hope we can do well and advance into the next stage,” Fa’arodo added.

Warriors are drawn in Group C alongside AS Magenta (New Caledonia), AS Tiare Tahiti (Tahiti) and qualifying stage runner-up.

Henderson Eels will be competing in an all Melanesian group which consists of Malampa Revivors (Vanuatu), Lae City FC (PNG) and Lautoka FC (Fiji).
