Solomon Airlines has publicly apologised to the Solomon Islands Airport Corporation Ltd
(SIACL) for inaccurate information concerning SIACL fees and charges, as conveyed in a
recent media release.
The announcement said that Solomon Airlines will introduce new airport surcharge fees ‘to
cover rising international and domestic airport costs, including increased landing and lighting
fees at Solomon Islands airports’.
Solomon Airlines wishes to retract and correct the information.
There have not been any new or recently increased nternational and domestic airport costs
including landing and lighting fees. These fees are not new, they were gazetted in 2018 and
have remained unchanged to this date. It is only now that Solomon Airlines will include an
airport surcharge fee to cover these costs.
Solomon Airlines has apologised to SIACL for any inconvenience this has caused.
Effective from today 1 June, 2023 all bookings made on Solomon Airlines will include regular
Solomon Islands departure fees, plus a new airport surcharge as follows:

  • Domestic Airport Surcharge Fee – SBD$60 per passenger per booking
  • International Airport Surcharge Fee – SBD$110 per passenger per booking
Solomon Airlines said the new airport surcharge and existing departure fee will be collected
at the time of booking either online, via Solomon Airlines sales office or participating travel
    agents.
