Members of the RSIPF womens soccer team in their new sky blue uniforms

The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) women’s soccer team today received a set of new uniforms from the Commander of the Solomon Islands Police Development Program (SIPDP).

The RSIPF women’s soccer team is one of eight women’s soccer teams playing in the National Women’s league. The RSIPF team is made up of 25 members, including RSIPF Officers, SIPDP members and other young women from the local communities.

SIPDP Commander Darren Boyd-Skinner on behalf of the Cyber Safety Pasifika Team handed over the new uniforms sponsored by Cyber Safety Pasifika to the RSIPF Commissioner Mostyn Mangau during a brief ceremony at the Rove Police Headquarters in Honiara.

Commissioner Mangau thanked SIPDP for their contribution to the RSIPF and the community.

“A healthy body and healthy mind through exercise contributes to long term wellbeing of Solomon Islanders.  The sponsorship from Cyber Safety Pasifika is assisting to promote that we are all in this together and we need to look after our families and communities to stay safe online,” says Commissioner Mangau

Commissioner Mangau wished the members of the RSIPF women soccer team good luck with their uniforms as they continue in the National Women’s Soccer League.

Cyber Safety Pasifika is an Australian Federal Police funded program that helps everyone in the Solomon Islands to learn about technology and how to stay safe.
