Police receive formal complaint again SINU VC

Commissioner of Police Mostyn Mangau has revealed that his office has received a complaint against the Vice-Chancellor of the Solomon Islands National University, Dr. Ganesh Chand, and they’ll be investigating the allegations.

Mangau told journalists this morning that police has received a formal complaint from SINU (unions) and they will look into it.

The SINU acadmeic and non-academic staff have been at loggerheads with the VC accusing him of abuse of office.

They had demanded that he be removed or suspended whilst the allegations against him were investigated.

SBMOnline understands that the letter of complaint contains the allegations against the VC which the unions want the police to investigate.
