Officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) have arrested a 17-year-old male suspect for armed robbery on Sunday (9 April 2023).

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Central Police Station, Chief Superintendent Jimson Robo said it was alleged that the suspect armed with a kitchen knife, grabbed the victim and pointed the knife on her neck.

He further stated that the suspect then threatened the victim to surrender her phone to him otherwise he would stab her with the kitchen knife. She had no option but had to release the phone to the suspect who then escaped.
