“Let us not play smart with this global pandemic, as it can cause severe illness and death,” the Prime Minister punctuated while launching the Sino Pharm vaccine roll out in Honiara.

Encouraging all above 18 years and are eligible to step forward for their shot, the Prime Minister said, we have all seen the severe effects, even deaths in other countries around the world including our fellow brothers and sisters in neighboring Papua New Guinea and Fiji.

He underlines, COVID 19 is a killer and no respecter of persons. Its devastation world-over is very scary.

This is not the time to be a spectator or complacent.

People who doubt the efficacy of the newly launched vaccine “Sino Pharm” are being misled, the government stressed.

The Prime Minister again reminds that all hands must be on the wheel to drive the invisible killer away.

One of the most effective ways to do this is for all Solomon Islanders above 18 years and are eligible to come forward for their vaccination.

Prime Minister Sogavare emphasised, vaccination is the ultimate goal of his government with its current roll out program for COVID-19 vaccines.
