Mr. Kialoe urged his people living at Mamana Wata to take up the initiative and attend the vaccination program at the Multi- purpose hall, Lawson Tama.

The MOI MP says the Sino- pharm does not have any side effects and anyone 18 years old and above can take it without any fear of ramifications.

“Mamana wata residents, I urged you all to come forward and get the vaccination at Multi- purpose Hall. Remember prevention is better than cure,” Mr. Kialoe stated.

Mr. Kialoe added that he has observed his people are not attending to the vaccination program although the vaccination site is a walking distance from the settlement.

Meanwhile, recently the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MOHS) has extended the vaccination program to the general public in Honiara by calling on every eligible Solomon Islanders through text messages to get the vaccination.

The vaccination rollout to the general public is a step up in government’s policy in terms of availing the vaccination program to all eligible Solomon Islanders in Honiara.

Provincial rollout of the vaccination will happen next pending all necessary preparations are made.

Currently both the AstraZeneca and Sino- pharm COVID 19 vaccines are being given to people, both of the vaccines are certified and approved by World Health Organisations.
