MONC against Premier of Temotu moved for tomorrow (Friday)

The much anticipated motion of no confidence against the premier of Temotu Clay Forau Soalaoi will now be tabled tomorrow not today.

Speaker of the Temotu Provincial Assembly Johnson Levela confirmed the change this morning from Lata.

He said this was based on the advice from the AG’s Chambers.

Levela explained that today 30th March is still less than 7 clear days’ rule as notice was received on Wednesday last week.

He added seven clear days does not include weekend days.

Premier of Temotu Province Soalaoi is expected to face 39 allegations put on notice again him and his government by the mover and Member for Duff Islands Hon Stanley Tehiahua under Order 111 of TPA Standing Orders.

Soalaoi had already told the media of his confidence to defeat the motion as he has the numbers on his side.
