Govt declares Friday 27 a Special Public Holiday

The Solomon Islands Government through the Ministry of Home Affairs has declared Friday 27^th, December 2019 a Special Public Holiday.

Christmas is observed on Wednesday 25^th and Thursday 26^th is the Thanks Giving Day.[sociallocker id=”1343″]

In a public notice issued today, the Ministry of Home Affairs says, “in exercise of the power conferred by Section 6 of the Public Holidays Act, the Hon. Minister of Home Affairs has appointed Friday 27^th December 2019 as Special Public Holiday for Solomon Islands.

“This notice is served as an additional advice to the Public Notice No. 1/2019 for the National and Provincial Public Holidays 2020. “Friday 27^th December 2019 will be also observed as a Special Public Holiday.” [/sociallocker]
