Community surrenders kwaso cooking apparatus to Police

Officers of the National Crime Prevention Department (NCPD) of the Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) have collected seven kwaso distillation equipment from the Mosquito Community at Burns Creek with the support of the community elders.
Director NCPD Superintendent Solomon Sisimia says. “The collection of the kwaso equipment was done yesterday (21 May 2020) in response to an appeal given to the community earlier on.”
“Members of the community witnessed the surrendering of the equipment to the police with great joy saying the handing over of the equipment is a great relieve for the community.”
Superintendent Sisimia adds: “This is the second community to surrender such kwaso distillation equipment to the NCPD team after the Taba’a community surrendered similar equipment to the police two weeks ago.”
“On behalf of Police Blo U, I would like thank the communities concerned for their partnership in preventing crime in the communities which is the goal of the Crime Prevention Strategy of the RSIPF.”
Chairman of the Burns Creek Mosquito community Mr Harold Samani says, “The community leaders want to thank the police for the great work done and we will continue to work with the police to make our community a model for the Burns Creek area.”
