CHINA OPENS DOOR FOR NORTHWEST GUADALCANAL NONI FARMERS

A HIGH Level delegation of Chinese government officials has visited the Solomon Noni Corporation Ltd factory marking a milestone opening to the China market.

The delegation visited the factory on Wednesday last week and spoke highly of the high standards set by the locally based Noni factory which is located at KGVI area.

The Chinese delegation was led by acting ambassador Ding Yonghua, Zhen Zhu Deputy Director Foreign Affairs Office of Qingdao Municipal People’s Government and the Deputy Secretary General of CPC Qingdao Committee Lin Bin.

The visiting delegation were met and escorted around the factory by the founder and owner of Solomon Noni Corporation Ltd Hon Bodo Dettke.

Hon Dettke explained the process in which the company has processed Noni products to overseas markets.

He said Solomon Noni Corporation Ltd has since made significant breakthrough in the international markets such as United States, Australia, Japan, Hungary, Netherlands and with China next in line.

“This is an undertaking I have successfully established to help local farmers in the Solomon Islands and still hoping for future partnerships and recognition from the Government,” he said.

The visiting Chinese delegation was also amazed by the state of the art equipment’s at the factory with world standard requirements of harvesting, extracting, and preservation of the noni product.

Solomon Noni Corporation Ltd is the only company in the Solomon Islands that exports Noni juice and Noni puree to European and US markets.

Deputy Director Foreign Affairs Zhen Zhu said she was impressed with the level of hygiene, professionalism and the high standards as the only Noni factory in the country.

She said this is what countries like Solomon Islands need to tap into, to breakthrough international markets.

Ms Zhen said Chinese markets would definitely be interested in the Solomon Islands noni products.

The deputy director was also impressed with Hon Dettke’s plan to expand his noni factory to cater for the international market demand now that Solomon Islands noni products are now gaining popularity as one of the best in the pacific.

Acting Chinese ambassador Ding Yonghua also thanked Hon Dettke for availing his time for the Chinese delegation to visit his factory.

He said the delegation was really impressed with what they have seen indicating a better, brighter future ahead for Noni farmers in Northwest Guadalcanal, and Solomon Islands as a whole through the Solomon Noni Corporation Ltd.
