Australian High Commissioner High Commissioner Dr Lachlan Strahan on Friday handed over the first shipment— six containers of Ericsson equipment to Our Telekom Chairman, Mr Baoro Laxton Koraua, for six new 3G/4G telecommunications towers funded by Australia.

A statement from the Australian High Commission on its FB page says Australia provided Our Telekom with AUD6.5 million (SBD37.6 million) in December 2021 to fund the acquisition and installation of the towers, which will use Ericsson technology.

It says importantly, this funding package is debt free, said Dr Strahan.
