Wife stabs husband with knife during domestic argument

A drunken wife stabbed her husband with a seven-inch kitchen knife during a heated argument at Nggosi in west Honiara on 26 May 2025.

Officer Commanding Station (OCS) White River Police Station Inspector Doreen Vaea said the husband claimed his wife had an affair with another man, and this was where the argument came about.

Vaea said the wife was not happy during the argument, so she allegedly stabbed her husband on his left-hand shoulder with the knife.

She added the stab was serious but the husband was stable when he attended the National Referral Hospital.

According to Vaea, the husband was not happy with his wife, so he called in at the Central Police Station and reported the matter resulting in the arrest of the suspect and who was also been dealt with.

Police is working on the suspect’s remand application to remain in custody while her case is being investigated.
