The 190 meters long concrete road in front of the Kukum Catholic church has been completed last week.

The concrete road begins at the Kukum field and goes up the critical sections going up the Tanuli road.

The work came about as a result of the bad state of the road over the years. With this new concrete road, it will make life easier for people and vehicles, a statement from CAUSE says today.

The road will be re-opened for public use this week while the construction company will work on the drainage system.

APNS company is currently constructing another two concrete roads at G-Camp in the Aekafo area of East Honiara and Barana of Guadalcanal Province.

The two concrete roads are also part of CAUSE intervention and they are expected to complete in November 2022.

CAUSE is Implemented by the Honiara City Council and Ministry of Infrastructure Development and is funded by the World Bank and the Australian Government through the PNG and Pacific Islands Umbrella Facility Multi-donor trust fund.
