Wale congratulates Dr Aqorau as SINU’s new VC

OPPOSITION Leader Hon Matthew Wale has congratulated Dr Transform Aqorau as the new vice-chancellor of the Solomon Islands National University (SINU).

Hon Wale said he is optimistic that Dr Aqorau’s vast experience and leadership qualities are what SINU needs at this current time.

The Opposition Leader said Dr Aqorau’s appointment is a testament that our local professionals are more than capable of leading our national university.

“SINU has been facing immense challenges over the past years and with Dr Aqorau and the likes of Dr Wairiu and our other local professionals, I am confident that their leadership can bring about positive developments for SINU,” he said.

He said Dr Aqorau’s proven no-nonsense approach is what SINU needs.

“I call on the gov’t to support Dr Aqorau’s leadership to build SINU into the quality institution Solomon Islands need,” Hon Wale.

Hon Wale wished the new vice-chancellor all the best in his new career.
