EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (CONSULTANCY SERVICES)

ENGAGEMENT OF A TECHNICAL CONSULTANT FOR THE NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS ONLINE APPLICATION ICT SUPPORT SERVICES

Propose of Assignment

1. The purpose of the National Scholarship Online Application ICT Support Services is to assess the online application module based on efficiency, deliverance and interaction for applicants/users

Duration

The assignment will be for a maximum of 12 months

Location: SITESSA Office Lee Kwok Kuen Building at Point Cruz, Honiara, Solomon Islands.

Qualification and Experience

The successful applicant should have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other relevant programming qualification from a recognized training institution.

Essential experience

1. Familiar with the roles and functions of SITESA as stipulated in the SITESA Act 2017;
2. Working knowledge of the current systems environment within SITESA including Scholarship Information System and Online Application Platform;
3. Possesses working knowledge of current web development tools and technologies;
4. Familiar in the processes involved in building an information system for Solomon Islands Government;
5. Experience in database systems design and development;
6. Ability to operate effectively and sensitively in a cross cultural environment

Desirable

1. Experience in the Solomon Islands Education system or a similar setting
2. Fluent in Solomon Islands pidgin language
3. Excellent in oral and written English languages

A consultant will be selected in accordance with the procedures set out in the Solomon Islands Government Procurement Manual and Financial Instructions.
