In its 100 days plan, the government is looking to bring down the Solomon Power tariff to the benefit of the people.
Asked when do they want that to happen, Deputy Prime Minister Bradley Tovosia said: “I want it now.”
Speaking to journalists this afternoon, Tovosia admitted the current electricity tariff by Solomon Power is the highest in the region.
“We really want to address the electricity tariff with the aim to bring it down,” he said.
He confirmed that the Cabinet has already appointed an advisory committee to address the issue.
Tovosia said the committee will be based in his ministry and is mandated to finding solutions to the high tariff charges.
