Solomon Airlines passengers will soon be able to pre-book their preferred seats on international flights when the airline introduces prepaid seat selection from 1 January, 2024.
“If passengers have a personal preference for where they would like to sit, it will soon be possible to pre-book in advance of their flight,” said Napoleon Padabela, Acting CEO of Solomon Airlines.
“This is something many international airlines offer and many frequent flyers appreciate and Solomon Airlines is also introducing this option to provide added comfort and convenience to our customers,” he added.
Effective from 1 January 2024, when making a Solomon Airlines booking, depending on seat availability, passengers will be able to purchase special seat requests such as seats with extra leg space, preferred forward seating, aisle or window seats.
Solomon Airlines said the prepaid seat requests will be offered on the airline’s Airbus A320 international aircraft. Options will include:
-
Standard Seat – selecting a main cabin window or aisle seat – AUD$15 or equivalent
-
Preferred Seat – choose a preferred seat forward of the aircraft – AUD$45 or equivalent
-
Extra Legroom – prepay for a seat with additional leg space – AUD$75 or equivalent
