Speaking during the brief handover ceremony today, SI Scouts National Growth Coordinator, Mrs. Shona Fafale acknowledged Solomon Ports for its continuous support towards SI Scouts.

Fafale said SI Scouts have been working together with SIPA over the past recent years. “We’re proud to celebrate our first-year independence anniversary after we separated from the UK Scouts branch last year, “she said.

“With this, we are so happy to receive such huge support from Solomon Ports, I think this upcoming event will be the first of its kind for us, and we’re so happy that Solomon Ports were the first company to respond to our appeal, however, this is not the first time for the port to support us.”

Meanwhile, SIPA’s Chief Financial Officer, Mr. George Rausi acknowledged the SI Scouts for their ongoing work in the country, in especially engagements with young people.

He said SIPA as a Port and SOE is glad to support such initiatives and wished SI Scouts Association a successful event next week.
