Sikilabu encourages officers to use new earned skills to build more credibility in police

Buala police officers demonstrate skills learnt during the two weeks POM training

Premier of the Isabel Province, Honourable Rhoda Sikilabu at the closing ceremony of Public Order Management (POM) training has encouraged Buala Police Officers to use the new skills, attitude and confidence gained during the training to build more credibility and integrity.

She said: “Your commitment to the training program is much appreciated. Congratulate you for the new skills and knowledge you gain after the two weeks of intensive training.”

She told the officers that as they had experienced during this training program, their commitment, dedication and discipline has led to success and greater achievements and has opened new opportunities.

The training conducted by China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) in Buala has attracted a lot of attention.

Premier Sikilabu thanked the CPLT for the assistance and generosity for training our local police officers and providing martial art exercise to our children.

“This fully reflects the friendship of the Chinese people and Chinese police. Hope that we can broaden the areas of cooperation and achieve more fruitful results,” she said.

An outstanding Course Participant during the two weeks POM training, Sergeant (Sgt) Stephen Maneleba said the training was important to RSIPF in Isabel and it has purposely done to develop “us to be one of the best police forces in the region and make Isabel and Solomon Islands as a whole truly safe”.

The POM training program was officially closed on 22 October 2022 at Buala Police Station with a public disorder demonstration.
