Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or COVID-19 test is no longer mandatory for arrivals in SI

The Ministry of Health & Medical Services Travel Advisory, proof of COVID-19 vaccination or COVID-19 test is no longer mandatory for arrivals into Solomon Islands, our national carrier Solomon Airlines confirms tonight.

This announcement was described by Solomon Airlines as an exciting news.

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, the government had made it mandatory for incoming passengers to show of proof of COVID-19 vaccination or COVID-19 test before they were allowed to fly in. However, that this will no longer the case.

Solomon Airlines today also confirmed that all COVID-19 related requirements have been lifted, and the Health Card required on entry will be made available in-flight.

The tourism industry had been pushing for the lifting of the restrictions as it had affected the revival of the industry following COVID-19.
