6/2/2023 – California, USA-based American Samoan singer & songwriter Tenelle Christine Luafalemana – best known by stage name Tenelle is set to wow the Solomon Islands for the first time, arriving today (Tuesday 7th) for a two-day run of reggae music concerts.

She’ll kick off her stint in Honiara on Friday 10th at the Coral Sea Resort and wrap up in Noro, Western Province on Saturday 11th at the Double-A Night Club.

International music promoter and DJ Victor Lopez promises a ‘good reggae vibe’ of excitement as the country will host a first-ever international female reggae artist in over 13 years – yet another score of big-time artists to the ‘Hapi Isles’.

“It’s an honor to have the chance to tour a Grammy Awards/ Billboard Charting recognized artist here in the Solomon Islands, as part of the ‘LOVE & REGGAE’ concert series,” DJ Lopez.

Tenelle has recently been on tour in the Pacific Islands for the last three months. She has performed sold-out shows in Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, and Hawaii.

“Blad P2A of DMP was on tour recently with Tenelle in Australia and we were privileged to witness her deliver an amazing performance, we knew at the point that we needed to bring her to the Solomon Islands.

“She flew home to California from Hawaii to visit family and will spend two days at home before departing back to the Pacific for the final shows of her tour in the Solomon Islands then will take a break for a few months to record her new album.

DJ Lopez also confirmed that the singer make a special visit to schools and the National Referral Hospital (NRH) during her short tour – and hopefully link up with local artists at the studio.

TENELLE MUSIC BACKGROUND

Tenelle has been described by many as ‘a breath of fresh air.” Her natural beauty and wholesome smile permeates on stage as she captivates listeners with her soulful sultry sound. She isn’t exactly sure when her love for singing first started, but suggests “growing up in Carson, California, with a big family, where talents shows are more competitive that the X-Factor itself, may have well did it!” As a child, Tenelle recalls listening to artists such as Lauryn Hill, Betty Wright, and Gwen Stefani, while watching films such as the original sparkle, dreaming of the big stage. Years later she would find herself on the stage performing her #1 hit singles “Flava” and “Get Some” in front of hundreds and thousands of people all over the world including Japan, New Zealand, Australia, the Pacific Islands, and the U.S.

Tenelle’s carefree attitude and love for life attracts not only fans, but everyday people. Hopes of bringing true happiness and positivity to just one person or millions of people is evident as she explain, “if my singing makes you smile, and a smile can change the world, I want to make the world smile”
