Prestige Apartments & One Tribe Australia Donate 300 eye glasses worth SBD$21,000 to clinics

In a generous act of community support, Geoffrey Kakaramo, owner of Prestige Apartments, in collaboration with One Tribe Australia and Kakaramo Haus Australia Pty Ltd, has donated 300 prescription glasses to Honiara Regional Eye Clinic in Honiara, Afio Health Centre, Rokera and Tarapaina Clinics in South Malaita.

The donation aims to improve the vision and quality of life for individuals in need, ensuring better access to essential eye care services.

Many in the Solomon Islands struggle with vision impairments due to limited access to prescription glasses, making this contribution especially impactful.

“We are committed to supporting our community and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to see clearly,” said Kaka.

“Good vision is essential for education, work, and daily life, and we hope this donation helps those who need it most.” Susan Kana’au of Regional Eye Clinics  expressed her gratitude for the donation, highlighting the importance of partnerships in improving healthcare access in the country.
