Father Chris Alar, MIC, a Catholic Priest from the United States of America will arrive in the country for a short visit on Monday 5th June 2023.

Fr. Alar whose talks on various topics on YouTube has attracted many viewers from around the world, has got many of his local followers looking forward to meeting him and listen to his presentations in person.

Catholic faithful and Provincial health Director of HCC Health Dr. Lawrence Diau has expressed his excitement over this upcoming program as an “honored privilege” to have the opportunity to meet Fr. Alar in person.

Meanwhile, Archbishop Chris Cardone speaking from his home in New York said, “It is a special blessing to have an internationally known priest from USA come to share God’s Word in our Holy Cross Cathedral.”

“We welcome Christians and all people of good will to feel welcome to attend this helpful program,” he said.

According to Secretary of the Catholic Bishop Conference Solomon Islands office Fr. Mark Misiwasi, this is wonderful opportunity for the congregation to make use of to help build their faith.

Fr. Alar is will celebrate mass at Holy Cross Cathedral on Monday at 6pm. He is scheduled to make a presentation on Monday and Tuesday after the daily 6pm mass.

The talks are open to any interested individuals in and around Honiara and elsewhere.

Fr. Chris Alar, MIC is the Provincial Superior of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy Province of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception in the United States and Argentina.

He wrote and produced the popular “Divine Mercy 101” and “Explaining the Faith” DVD series and is the author of the bestselling books After Suicide: There’s Hope for Them and for You, as well as Understanding Divine Mercy.
