Inspector Fono says, “The suspect is hiding with his relatives at the camp site and I call on the relatives of the suspect to release the suspect to police. It is an offense to harbour a police suspect. The alleged suspect is from Malaita and was living with his wife before the murder incident.”

“My condolence to the immediate families, relatives and friends of the deceased for this sad incident. May her soul rest in peace,” says Inspector Fono.

She adds: “I appeal to both parties to refrain from taking the law in to your own hands and allow police to investigate the matter.”

You can contact police at Gizo on phone 60999 with any information in relation to the murder and the whereabouts of the suspect.
