Honiara, Wednesday 23 July 2025 –  OUR Party strongly backs the statement issued by the Solomon Islands People First Party (SIPFP) and rejects the wild claims published by Alfred Sasako dubbed as the ‘Clown Gossipper’ in the Solomon Star on 16 July 2025.

Mr Sasako’s piece titled “Third Wave Remains Alive” is nothing more than political gossip dressed as journalism, designed to stir up confusion and distrust among Coalition partners.

OUR Party stands firm in our support of our wing leader and the Prime Minister, Honourable Jeremiah Manele, and the Government for National Unity and Transformation (GNUT). We reaffirm our commitment to political stability and our shared vision for a united Solomon Islands.

While differences between parties exist, it is our ability to overcome these differences and work together that truly matters. OUR Party remains committed to GNUT, working alongside the People’s First Party and Kadere Party to uphold stability, good governance, and development.

As a Coalition, we continue to meet regularly to discuss national priorities, strengthen our partnership, and ensure progress for all Solomon Islanders. We are focused on delivering outcomes—not playing into the hands of political fiction writers. We are aware of political rhetoric that is being propagated in social media by a few individuals with vested interests.

We urge the public to be wary of such individuals who use the media to peddle misinformation and stoke division. OUR Party remains resolute in its dedication to serve the people through responsible leadership and unity within GNUT. OUR Party stands shoulder to shoulder with the People First Party against these claims.

OUR Party also takes this opportunity to welcome its two new Members of Parliament who have recently joined them.
