The Solomon Airlines new twin Otter aircraft yesterday afternoon conducted a familiarisation flight on the new Twin Otter registered H4-SIC, as part of the final training stages prior to the aircraft being scheduled for regular commercial service.

Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Communication and Aviation, Moses Virivolomo, Director of Civil Aviation Authority Solomon Islands (CAASI) Brian Halisanau, and representatives from CAASI were amongst the passengers on the flight.

Solomon Airlines says the Solomon Islands Government and CAASI support has been pivotal to the procurement and the induction of the new aircraft.
