The new building which will cost around $30m to build and will be a facelift to the domestic terminal.

Kotelawala said it will have ticket offices and coffee shops so that waiting passengers can use the facilities whilst waiting to board their ships to their respective provinces.

This will be the first of its kind in the country and Solomon Ports is committed to improving its facilities at its ports.

The construction of the building is expected to start soon.
